ABOUT CLAIRE
Claire Danaceau has been in the wellness industry since 1996. She is trained in several healing modalities, including:
Pilates for Core and Joint strength
Reiki for Pain Relief
Sound Therapy & Kundalini Yoga to calm Anxiety
Shamanic Healing for Trauma Recovery
Yamuna Foot/Hand Fitness, Table Treatment & Body Rolling for postural alignment and myofascial release
Claire is available for private and small group sessions in any of the above modalities at Studio Claire at 8370 Court Ave, Ste 204, in Old Ellicott City, and also by Zoom.

TEACHER
PILATES
Her Pilates training is through Balanced Body University (500 hours, Comprehensive Machine, February 2013), and 700 hour Classical Machine and Small Apparatus training with Mark Trudeau of Quantum Fitness, July 2018. Her Pilates Mat training was also through Quantum Fitness, in 2002. She recently received her certification as a Master Trainer in Pilates. A comprehensive 700 Hour Teacher Trainer course will begin in late April 2026- Pilates Mat training is a prerequisite to the machine training, and that course will be March 21-22, 2026, 9am-6:30pm Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $550, or $500 early bird. Register at quantumpilates.com. Teachers are Mark Trudeau and Claire Danaceau. Trainings will be at Studio Claire at 8370 Court Ave, Ste 204, Ellicott City.
Claire opened her own studio in 2012, Studio Claire Pilates. In September 2025 she expanded to a 1000 SF space just off Main Street in Old Ellicott City, MD. The new studio is equipped with a full range of Balanced Body Pilates Equipment/Contrology (Classical Design). There is also a Stott Reformer and Stability Chair, and an Allegro Reformer.
YOGA
Claire is certified in both Hatha and Kundalini Yoga. (200RYT)
HEALER
Claire began her studies with Yamuna Zake in NY in 2005. She is currently certified in several modalities with Yamuna, including Foot Fitness, Table Treatment, Face Massage, and TMJ Release. She is also a Yamuna-certified Teacher Trainer in Foot Fitness.
In October 2016 she became a Level 3 Reiki Master in the Usui Lineage.
Claire began studying Gong Resonance Therapy with Mike Tamburo of Crown of Eternity, and completed Level 2 training in July 2016.
In October 2016, she also received her certification in Tibetan Tones Sound Therapy using Singing Bowls, with Manan Sharma.
In January 2019 Claire completed her training to become a Shamanic Practitioner, studying extensively with Rik and Anna Sara Fire of Radikal Healing, and Brighid Murphy of Spiritworks Healing Arts.
Claire offers monthly Group Sound Baths at Studio Claire and at Yatha Yoga in OEC
UPCOMING EVENTS
Studio Claire is hosting a Pilates Mat Teacher Training March 21 & 22, 2026.
The hours are 9am-6:30pm Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $550, or $500 for Early Bird (one week before event) You will learn the original 34 Mat exercises by Joseph Pilates.
