What is Pilates?

In addition to his original 34 exercises that are traditionally practiced on a mat for general toning of your core musculature, Joseph Pilates invented a variety of machines to assist and support the body for rehabilitation after injury. These machines can also provide resistance to strengthen the deep muscles of the core and improve the stability and mobility of the joints.


In Claire's studio, experience the full range of Pilates training, contemporary or classical. You may practice families of Pilates exercises on all the different Stott apparatus available: Trapeze Table (Cadillac), Reformer, Stability Chair, Ladder Barrel, or Spine Corrector.
